Kentucky Governor Commends Four Roses

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (August 23, 2010) – Four Roses Distillery received special recognition Saturday as Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear declared August 21 as “Four Roses Distillery Day” to honor the 100th Anniversary of the Lawrenceburg-based distillery and to pay special tribute to the dedicated and hard-working employees.

A letter and Proclamation from Gov. Beshear were read and showcased during the annual employee picnic by Hall of Fame Master Distiller Jim Rutledge.

In the letter, Governor Beshear said, “As one of the world’s most popular brands of Kentucky’s signature spirit and the only brand that produces ten distinct bourbon recipes, Four Roses truly contributes to the pride of the Bluegrass and our bourbon industry’s iconic image.”
