LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (March 6, 2010) – The Four Roses Distillery was honored for one of its brands as “Best American Whiskey – Bourbon Seven Years and Under” as part of Whisky Magazine’s annual World Whiskies Awards last week.
Four Roses’ Yellow Label offering took home a “Best American Whiskey” award as part of a three-round blind tasting competition, chaired by international whisky expert, Dave Broom.
Four Roses Yellow Label, an 80-proof smooth, mellow bourbon, has a floral aroma with hints of pear, apple, honey and spice.
Up to 10 of Four Roses distinct, handcrafted bourbon recipes, each with its own unique character, are mingled to create Four Roses Yellow. Four Roses is the only Bourbon distillery that combines five proprietary yeast strains with two separate mashbills to produce 10 recipes.
