Four Roses Distillery Celebrates 100 Years
LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (March 8, 2010) – Four Roses Bourbon is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its distillery building and is conducting a search to help find and honor the oldest living person to have worked in the Lawrenceburg facility since its 1910 opening.
“The hard work of our employees has led to Four Roses’ growth over the years, which is why we’ve decided to launch this effort to recognize the oldest employee who helped make this place what it is today.” said Jim Rutledge, Four Roses Master Distiller.
The oldest former employee identified will receive a Four Roses barrelhead autographed by Rutledge, as well as the very first bottle of Four Roses’ 100th Anniversary Limited Edition Single Barrel Bourbon. A collector’s item, the bourbon will be hand numbered as No. 1 of an extremely limited bottling of only 2,300 bottles of a rare, 17-year-old bourbon issued this April to celebrate the anniversary.
The Four Roses Distillery, on the banks of the scenic Salt River, is a special find on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail route. The facility was built in 1910, features a unique Spanish Mission-Style architecture rarely seen in Kentucky and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
To be considered, the individual must have worked in the Four Roses’ Lawrenceburg distillery for a minimum of one year, and be able to prove employment via company paperwork, pay stubs, time cards, photographs or some other documentation.
Written submissions will be accepted through June 30, 2010 and can be sent via email to info@fourroses.biz or by U.S. Mail to: Four Roses Employee Search, 1224 Bonds Mill Rd, Lawrenceburg, Ky. 40342.
“Over the years, we have seen so many team members who are so committed and dedicated to our bourbon,” said Rutledge. “The Four Roses Distillery could not have reached its current level of success without the hard-work, dedication, loyalty and passion of our staff and employees. Because of them we may all look forward to a bright future for Four Roses Bourbon.”
